Can you tell me why most of Western Washington is starting school two hours late today? I mean I get why Seattle schools are starting late....we are pussies.
But McCleary? Come on yer kids could probably walk to school in shorts and tank tops in this weather.

Not only that, they got the day off yesterday. And yes, you are right most McCleary kids will walk to school in shorts and tank tops, well probably pocket tees, so they have somewhere to carry their Copenhagen.

To be fair, Elma-McCleary had real snow on the ground yesterday, most of the surface streets in both towns are about 1/2" thick with compacted snow and ice.

We got about 6 inches of snow Sunday. Headed to work Monday and the news said "2 hours late". Got to work, and found out school was closed. Minor heart attack until I found out gramma and papa were in town that day, so they spent time with the kids that day.

The 30 minute drive took an hour because of all of the ass clowns on the hwy going 20 mph, and they wouldn't dare budge out of the "fast lane".

Truck has been in 4WD for three days straight now, and with the third round of snow just starting an hour ago, my guess is I'll be be in 4WD for a few more days.

Good thing is that gas is cheap, and I'm in a bigger vehicle than most of the rest out there. Get out of my way. Pillar of the community coming through.

We received zero more snow (so a total of 2.5 or so) and schools are closed today. Go figure.

Yeah I am with ya DF on the retards out on the highway. 20mph and running straight down the center with right side tires in the left side trail and their left side tires in the right side trail of the fast lane. Not a thought of how many are backed up behind 'em either. Most have McCleary license plates too, go figure.

We were on time today and it was the worst driving day yet. Go figure.

I can tell you why they call it so easy. Because first time they make the wrong call and there is a bus wreck, they'll get sued. The same parents whining about having to get a babysitter for the kids will be the first one getting a lawyer when little Susie gets tramatized from a bus wreck, because the big bad school district made them go to school when there was frost on the ground!

Everyone loves to sue school districts cause they like to settle to save the taxpayer the money of going to court! They cant win for losing.

I wouldn't want to be the dude that has to get up at 4:00 to drive around and check all the really bad areas, then be responsible if you make the wrong call and something bad happens.

F'n snowing again here in McCleary. Already 2 hrs late tomorrow, maybe closed for the day if we get enough. It would really be nice to get the roof on the house. Love the glow over the town, though.
