That video from Lavro brought back some great memories when fishing was good and the pressure was little. Oh how I wish for days gone by.

I sell the products that go into making DB's to most, if not all of these builders and I've watched each of them make boats, plus I have my own mold and I've fixed all of the brands, so I know what holds up and what doesn't. They each have different ideas on design and construction methods, but all are built well and really they're over built for how most of them get used, few get more than dinged chines and a few cosmetic scrapes.

Hey, Ron, welcome aboard!

You're not fooling anybody...you've been "retiring" from the boat business for at least a decade! smile

There are sure a lot of good things about most any brand of boat out there, whether they be glass or metal, but for my money I'd either get a Lavro or a Clackacraft...I've really come to appreciate the good things about a quality glass boat.

Fish on...

Todd

Ron, welcome aboard for sure.

From my post earlier in this thread, SN 0004 is still kicking around and I have had a lot of opportunity to put a hole in the bottom of the 16 footer but it hasn't happened yet.

I saw that Ron had posted twice so I looked up his other post and it was in the picture gallery and was very interesting.

Northwest drift boats.

After they bought his molds, Clackacrap became a decent boat.

Hey Danyll,

The Sky Valley guys have some pics. There have been a lot of steelhead landed along side a Lavro. I hope to add one tomorrow! Check with Jeff.

I typically refrain from adding to these drifter discussions because inevitably everyone thinks their drifter is the best drifter ever made. In my case I own a Lavro so I'm correct!

Last year on my way North I stopped at a red light and felt a weird bump from behind. Since I had just hooked up the trailer I thought my trailer had jumped off the ball. I get out and there is a minivan smooshed under the rear of my LazyDrifter. The guy claimed that my lights didn't work and that it was my fault that he had rear ended me so he called the cops and wouldn't move. 20 minutes later the traffic cop arrives and we verified that indeed (with the help of an eyewitness as this SOB tried to tell the cop that I had "fixed" my lights while we where waiting) the trailer lights worked. The cop asks me how much damage was done to my boat at which point I laughed and explained if I tried to take my boat back to Lavro due to a few scratches Ron would run me out of the place.

As for the minivan-Totaled. The hood and radiator where smashed back into the window shattering said window and the front wheel well was smashed back into the front tires. The cop couldn't believe that so much damage was done to the minivan with no damage to my Lavro. He commented that the Lavro must be the toughest boat ever made and I would have to agree!

Unfortunately the only pic I have on this computer with fish porn and my Lavro is of some goofy dude with an even goofier hat! I’d e-mail it to you but I’d hate to see that hat on the Lavro website laugh

I'll get to work on a better pic over the next couple of months.

I've got a few more, but the only one I have with fish in the pic is a variation of the one you already posted with Keith's fish...I've got a couple good ones of your dog in the boat by herself while we're out fighting a fish...

Fish on...
