Going to Sedona, Arizona next month. Any one have any Fly Fishing /fishing zones to check out in the Red Rock region? I'm thinking, Oak Creek and or the Agua Fria river. Never been to the Arizona dessert before and would love some advise on some fishy water. Only have 1 day to fish so ............?

Thx,

BCB

In the dessert? Would that be like a panfish pudding, or tuna fish ice cream?

I would recommend the Navajo tacos, although they don't have fish in them or taste like dessert.

BCB,

I read about trout fishing in some part of AZ at wff.com. Try some Google and see if it doesn't pop up for you.

Not much going on this time of year although AZ has some fantastic high country lake fishing with 6 species of fish. I have caught grayling, apache, brook, brown, rainbows and cutts up there...but usually doesnt start till May. I would go further north if you have the time and hit Lees Ferry for a tailwater bow fishery...cheers

Thanks, SR. I may check out Lees Ferry. I guess theres some bad snow melt going on right now, blowing out the systems. I talked to a guide down there today and he said the carp and crappie are hitting huh I almost laughed over the phone at him. But yet again I bet a big carp would bend an 8 weight like a Taco. I want to fish bows and browns not crappie. I'l check out sedona the best I can and ask the locals I guess. Asked the guy in AZ if there was any good swinging water . He had no idea what I was talking about smile Imagine that! crazy
