Nice fishing -- and even some catching and releasing -- this morning during the falling tide in South Sound.
I think the cloud cover and rain helped crank up the fish, as they were a little spooky during the sunny days earlier this week.
I have to run to an appointment, but the fish were chasing sand lance and chum fry -- Bob Trigg's Chum Baby worked well.
I'll post a better report on my blog -- I even got a couple of photos -- later tonight or early tomorrow morning....

sweet. thanks for report. blackmouth fishng lately near Oly with the down-riggers has been more like work lately not much bait around and not much keeper kings going on at all. going to put that away for awhile and break out the flyrods instead. start hitting up some areas i know for coho and cutts.

Saw your watermagic site today / 1st time. browlining article was a trip. my old bro from hometown used to work at discout tacke in denver and is still a flyfishing guide to date. sent him the email link today . he'll know all those dude forsure....pretty cool.
reminds me of the time in college, flyfishing the ditch downtown pullman while making a flyfishing video for Comm 101 class - catching some fine bronze squawfish...some sick aZZ fish there... i was hoping for trout. but hey, no cash and no car it-'s what a guy had to do.
victory gardens, brownlining and stay-cations. You're plugged in my friend.
nice work at the olympian as well.
