This is the anniversary date of a tragic event. My friend from high school, CW2 Michael A. Hall, Eagle-2 Pilot Command, was killed along with 25 other people when their helicopters were shot down over Northern Iraq.

Mike was a good guy - soft spoken, good sense of humor, and someone you could be at ease with in any situation.

Please say a little prayer for my friend Mike tonight, as well as all our other servicemen and women. Have a drink as well, I think he would have liked that!

I remember that incident. Sad. Unbelievable that the forces couldn't properly communicate with one another. And just as sadly it continues today.

I'll have a beer with Chief Hall in mind.
