I decided to take a break from trout fishing and target some bass. Fishing has been decent. Depending on the lake, I've foumd pre-spawn, spawning and post spawn fish.
Not much topwater action yet, but that will come with the warmer weather. Most fish lately have been taken on big uglies.

I just got back from 5 days at lk Rosevelt (Keller Ferry), caught numerous smallmouths, between 10" and 20" and one monster about 24". Used a flashy dragonfly nymph with full sink line, fished out of my 8' spring creek pram with E-motor. Also tried but didn't succeed with carp.
Noticed lots of top water action (splashing) down the beach and thought it might be sturgeon sun bathing but it was lots of Carp splashing all over the place in 14-16' of water.

24" is one very large smalley. Nice work. Any pics?
