Somebody on here a few months ago...mebbe more...asked about how smart it would be to let his boy get on World of Warcraft...check out this video of a kid who wouldn't get off of it, and his mom had to delete his account.

My uncle owns a gas station. He had a cashier that'd been there awhile, reliable. She begins to complain that here hubby started playing World of Warcraft and he soon won't do anything else. She ends up starting to play, and soon she quits working for my uncle so she can stay home and play World of Warcraft. Goofy.

I watched a buddy do that dance on the thorn one day after he fought a twenty five pound steelie on the fly for twenty minutes and it popped off at our feet. I dont think he fell on the ground but he had a lot of the standup moves down pat. One more game my kids will never play.
I think I would make sure the gun safe was locked that night.

That video was passed around my office yesterday. I was talking to our newest hire who is just out of school. He told me that his first college roommate was on a full academic scholarship, tuition, room, board, etc. The scholarship was worth over $200k. This kid got hooked on WoW, basically playing it for 90% of his waking hours, missing school, and generally just becoming a hobbit who sat in the dark room in front of his computer.
He got 0.00 as a GPA his first two semesters, and lost all the scholarships.

I don't think World of Warcraft is the underlying problem...99% positive there is no Father in the picture, sadly the kid is ill.

Hi Ron,
I am truly honored by your vote-of-confidence, but, I don't think I could help that young man at all.
The remote control bit? My guess is that kid has been violently sexually abused by another male. At the peak of his episode he tries to shove that into his tail end...maybe thinking that might make him feel "better" in some sick sense, perhaps?
Warcraft, as sick and rotten as it is, might have been his escape from the pain of it all, and, in some sick manner he felt "empowered" while playing it. The game also could have drowned out the shame and pain of the root-issue, if ya get my drift.
I may be totally wrong (and sincerely hope I am), but that is my guess from watching that video. Unfortunately, now he has to live with the shame of that video too.
Send the tantrum kid away to a good psychologist who can help him get over the issues, and instead give me the asshat brother that made the video.

My 18 yo. daughter is visiting today (has been in Ketchikan) and tells me she knows a kid that is 17, and acts the same way. Kid gets a carton of smokes (from somewhere) and that along with a 12 pack of Red Bull and he plays the game for days. Kid has 2 parents (original ones)..and they LET him do this??????? WTF is wrong with people!
