Quality only goes so far. The eye and skill of the shooter can make up for the gear.

Stick's got a good eye for the shot, as well as the correct gear for the job.

I, on the other hand, given the same bodies and lenses that Stick is using, will be the first to admit that my photos would *still* suck.

I don't have the eye and apparently I have "the palsey". Damn, that quote still cracks me up! rofl

Bang for the buck, the XTi/100-400mm L combo is very tough to whip for critters.

If you sniffed, you could do it all for under $1500.

It seems the Board has changed in regards to pixel handling capabilities, which I'd term as being a "good thing" despite my obvious bias.

There is just something soothing about shooting fish. It is way beyond Therapeutic,as well as being a well kept secret for improving the relative tablefare.(grin)

Nice...that herring ball on the surface is a really excellent catch.

Fish on...

I thought this to be an excellent catch...both figuratively and literally.

Shot some killer video of various Rockfish in a surface feeding frenzy, upon some pretty slick water. It was nuts!

SkyGuy got a couple good shots of us feeding an eagle in the Islands a few weeks ago...hopefully he'll put a few up. I shot some vid of it, but the stills are far more impressive.

Fish on...

Todd

They outpaced him and had slipped quite a ways out,by the time Momma grabbed him. I think today is a clean the boat/house day and I'll throw kids in the boat and head out in the early AM for Maritime Mayhem.

Showing company a good time in the Summer, will wear a guy out,as there's quite a few hours of daylight to utilize.

I never did gawk his memory cards from his 5D MK II,though I'm certain he'll Email some keepers. The Critters cooperated and we happened into quite a few splendors.

Think I'll buy a bottle, throw the lid away and give myself a day off.

I'll probably say something I mean...though on the brightside it'll likely be poignant.

Damned boat is still hooked to my crummy and I may just take the works to the Booze Store,to save a move in the morning.

THAT is busheling.(grin)

Money turns everything sour and there's much to be said for an affinity to circumvent same.

Half-gallons were on sale, first toddy is poured and if I play my cards right I'll be able to get drunk at least twice before dark.

Ain't Life simply grand?!!?(grin)
