You're right not all republicans are racist, didn't mean to imply that....but matter a fact if you're a racist you're probably republican.

The GOP actively went after the racist vote for quite some time.
It's not like it's a secret or anything, hell Atwater bragged about doing so.

Talk to me about the 'Death Panels' Hank................ I mean, it's all the rage in the GOP, and since I can't actually find anything in the bill, having read well past infamous page 425, I look to you my conservative friend, to explain it to me. After all, I am a simple stoopid liberal, as has been pointed out here many times by intellectual luminaries that belong to the GOP and post here. Then tell me how the GOP leadership, who obliquely echo this nonsense, is working towards reform of a broken system, where profits are up 428 % in the last ten years, and insurance company employees recieve bonuses for cutting off subscribers with medical conditions requiring care ? I also still don't get how having a public option is such a horrible thing, outside of the Death Panels anyway.................. A "public option" would kill the insurance industry and you know it. Of course you're a part of the 20-30% of people that don't like their healtcare insurance providers and you would relish a slow and agonizing death for that particular industry. Maybe you could get them in front of the "Death Panels" and watch them squirm... I think that litle Sarah's vision of that death panel sprang from the idea that in the current plan being considered there lies a panel of "experts" that comprise the "comparative effectiveness" board that determine what treatments will be administered for various ailments. It all boils down to a checklist of what your doctor will be allowed to do when treating you. I don't like that idea. I would much prefer that my doctor made those decisions. You can argue that insurance companies already do that and you might be partially correct. However, why would you think it acceptable if the govt. were doing the same thing rather than your insurance company? Oh,I know. In your view govt. always makes better decisions than the private sector. After reading this, www.house.gov/ryan/PCA/index.htm I thought it was a better alternative to what the Dems are proposing. But that's just me. Some people actually like the idea of less bothersome decision making and look forward to the Big Nanny controlling another aspect of their lives.

However, it may just lower their profit margin from 400+% to around a respectable 15% maybe. How is it morally ethical to continue denying 47 million people health care simply to protect the exorbitant profit margin of some company? Why would you think it acceptable for someone to decide "what treatments will be administered for various ailments" based upon their profit margin?

Now we're getting back to death panels again.
Go back and actually read the Ryan plan. Read it with an open mind and dissect it. Comment on it and stop thinking that govt. control of healthcare is the best option.
