What's your favorite piece of fishing equip/tackle

I would say my best purchase was my Shimano Calais 200 reel, it's about 10 years old and is built like a watch. I look forward to using it every time I hit the river. What's some of your guy's/gal's favorite tackle/equip items you've purchased over the years ?
Love my factory Sage rods too CT296 and CT286.

I love my Lami's and shimanos but I'd sa the one thing that get me more fish is my file.

I have two G loomis 1261c rods 10'6 4-10.. they are my favorite silver/steelhead rod of all time. It would be cool if they would start making them again.

very simple, a file and needlenose pliers..... without these two pieces of equipment the day is hosed! even a moron like english pete can fish correctly with todays exellent lines and rods!! Dear Mr. Brewer- You fool. Perhaps you should use THE essential piece of equipment to complete any fishing adventure on yourself - it has a special place in my heart.

+1 on the English Pete fish bonker. A bitch to pack in on a long brush busting adventure, but it comes in handy if' you run into Edgar or Romulus.

my 4 ABU 2500Cs. like a 2/3 scale 5500C, but with a free floating spool(made a decade before shimano came up with "super free"). combined with my 9'6", 6'10 lami esprit baitcasting stick, the ultimate summer run and low water coho slayer.
