If there's something Quad owners don't want to be doing, it would be breaking the law while you're carrying a firearm.
Quad owners need to think about the potential situation they're putting themselves into when knowlingly breaking laws or rules established by National Forests and/or Private timberlands.
I know it seems harmless out cruising logging roads, trails or cruising offroad on the off chance you actually see a game animal and get a shot off, but here's something maybe some guys are missing the bus on.
It all comes down to this. All illegal activities in the presence of firearms are typically always prosecuted to the maximum sentence and will accrue further penalities and infractions for other activities that would have been otherwise excused or dropped, if not in the presence of firearms.
Remember what Super_Fly was saying on the fishing forum today re: WDFW enforcement agents; they're policeman first and foremost, don't think they're going to excuse the firearm element due to you being a 'hunter'. A firearm is a firearm is a firearm. Doesn't really mater if you're 'hunting' or not.
Just know, the whole firearm element is not going to help you out, it's going to make it whole lot worse when the law catches up to you.
Quads and big game hunting don't mix. Quad hunters would be doing themselves a big favor by keeping their quads at home during hunting season. Why take the risk?
