I agree, I am ANYTHING but an elitist. And having to listen to the kids spout off with so many negative remarks is starting to wear on me. Having a debate is one thing, personal attacks are another. We all need to learn when to quit typing and let people be.

Carp are awesome fighters, grew up on a river in upstate NY and lost a number of rods to these big tough fish.

I don't fish for chums. Actually I haven't been fishing much at all lately. And I'm probably an elitist cuz when I do fish, I fly fish, unless I'm dragging herring for salmon. I'm just posting to increase the exposure of John's chum fishing thread. What I notice is that while I've been installing flooring and now finishing some oak trim, John and his clients have been and are fishing. When I can't fish, it's nice to see that others are.

Take the unpaid advertising out of your profile OR buck up and become a site sponsor. Hell, post up pics of crappie n bullheads for all I care if thats what you like but the blatant advertising is probably at the heart of this.
