Need to find a local (Woodinville/Snohomish) exhaust shop. My 05 F-150 has a bad catalytic converter and the dealer is quoting me $1,300. Looking to find a shop to get a better price (and quality work).

aftermarket cat converters in general are of poor quality. believe me when i say this, you will be back at the dealer buying a genuine cat. when you can not pass emissions or your check engine light is back on with the dreaded PO420 code.

Airport welding in Snohomish is very good, check them out.

If you dont have to go through emissions cats are pointless, you will get better mileage and power without one. When I had my toyota I was able to find a place to cut my cat out and replace it with a piece of straight pipe. Airport is by the book and wont do that, I asked them.

The Chehalis River boat launches usually have a lot of F-150 catalytic converters.

Get there early though, they're usually pretty well picked over by 8 or 9AM.
