why not ?, if you look on page 124 of the following link the productivity rate of the upper river fish is less than 1 in almost all cases, this 15 percent cant be helping them.

Gents and Ladies,

You gotta read the link. http://www.prlog.org/10411958-local-fish...-northwest.html

A hatchery producing wild fish? I am informed enough to know that the terms hatchery and wild don't usually occur in the same sentence unless to slam the hatchery form. but, genetically, is the first gen proband close enough to the "native" to let nature sort things out? Not trolling, just asking.

P.S. It's a .pdf, so it takes a bit of time to load, depending on how fast your connection is.

Yet another indian hatchery that will produce fish and release them as "non fin" clipped fish. What do ya know......more "wild" fish in the river......Oops...I mean more fish for them.

Holy smokes, a nine page CONVERSATION without a pissin match/name calling thread. After reading through all of these post it's apparent to me we are all after the same goal just differing about how to go about getting there.

I do have one question, why are the snake river dams singled out? Last time I counted there are 7 dams. Feel free to educate me.
