Old school metal show at the Knitting Factory in Spokane (formaly the Big Easy). Saw Meagadeath, Testament, and Exodus. This was the first show of a new tour in honor of Rust in Peace. We were the first people to ever hear the entire album played live in concert. Three of the songs had never been played live since the album first came out 20 years ago. Man what a good show. Ages across the board were at this show. 13 to 60 years easily. Mustane did not need a walker to get out on stage. Those Testament dudes were old though but they put up a prettty good fight. Exodus had a new singer and only couple of the original members (I think). My ears are still ringing bad.

Never saw JP but wished I had.
I stayed out of the mosh pit for once this time. The Knitting Factory has a full bar closed off from the young'ns. Thought we try that for a change. Lots of elbow room cause folks worried about spillin their expensive drinks. Sounded good. my days of moshin are probably about over. I savin one for the chance I might see Slayer. Saw slayer once at the gorge but I took a chick and she wasnt getting any where near the pit and we sat on the hill. That was about ten years ago.

don't be hatin' on me, but when Judas Priest got back together, they joined the ozzfest tour, but also boke away to do some headline shows. i saw them in 2004 and slayer opened for them! crazy mix of people, parents with their kids, slayer fanatics, etc. best part was seeing how much fun Rob, Glenn and KK (not that one) were having being back together on stage.
here's some morning coffee
