I joined Facebook so I could look at my daughter's vacation photos on her page. Then added a couple friends, altho for the life of me, I don't know how. Then Todd emails me criticizing my Facebook page, sarcastically suggesting I must take it real seriously. Well if I haven't got a clue how it works, of course it has zero content. I got an email from someone who asked to be my Facebook friend, and I couldn't figure out how to add her, plus I have no idea who she is anyway. Oh well.

I got approached by a lady at a party, and she asked my why I kept ignoring her friend requests on FB. I barely know her face(our social circles almost overlap) and had no idea what her name was, yet she must have requested to be my friend several times, and I hit ignore several times. I said "I didn't recognize you from your picture and I also don't know your last name (even though I didn't know her first name either)." She was offended, because she must be a pretty big deal.

I told my wife it is lying to the world if you have someone your friend list and really aren't their friend.

FB is great for looking at your friends' pictures. I think it is pretty fun for that reason alone.

I guess I'm just the opposite of the Facebook crowd.
I find as I get older, my circle of really close friends continues to get smaller.
Thus, I don't Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or any of the other social networking stuff. I figure the less people know about me the better.
If my home phone rings and I don't recognize the number, I don't answer.

PP is about as close as I get to social networking ..... wink

I signed on for like two days. Suddenly a bunch of people I hadn't had contact with for years wanted to be my friends. Well as irie would say, screw those crackers!

One of the ladies is a life long friend and customer and since I told her that I thought FB was stupid she hasn't spoken to me, and has hired another contractor, geesh

SO, if you find strangers on facebook creepy, this one will make your skin crawl, it's all about random strangers and includes some pie charts and a home roulette game grin

WARNING: includes potty mouth again!

I accepted a friend request from this bitch that dumped me flat along time ago just so that I could un-friend her.

The "Hide" feature is prolly the best thing about FB. Puts an end to all that Farmville bullschit.

I wish I could have made that video. I totally agree, I dont want to do farms or mafia, stupid games or trade neat looking buttons..I don't care about your bad hair day, I dont care if you were fat in middle school....& The wake of that horror has yet to subside.

etc, f'n ....etc.

I have had to put quite a few people on ignore. A guy I knew in high school is my FB friend he posts stuff like:

"Just cleaned my house, lonely, wish I had someone to share my free time with."

He might as well put:

"I have a low self esteem, don't fukk me, ever."
