Lucy, my 10 yr old 3 legged Dobie passed on today. We think her heart just stopped. She was running to the river when her body just stopped and fell over, I beleive she kept running and just didn't need her body to hold her back (not that it ever did) any more. . . . .
Grateful for the 10yrs of good times, not sure how to fill the empty seat in the truck. . . . .or the whole in my heart. . .

Damn, AuntyM. Sorry.
My last old dog is not doing well and I don't know if she is going to pull through this or not. Hasn't eaten in at least 5 days, drinks little. Have been forcing meds down to help her, but it's not looking good. Doesn't get easier, but wouldn't trade what they give back for anything.

Oh man that's a heartbreaker. My sympathy.
You can borrow Tye for a day or two to help you remember why you don't want a pup for awhile.
His best trick this weekend was knocking down a three year old to lick her face. When her dad bent down to pull him off his sunglasses fell off. Tye thought, "Oh great,a new toy."Grabed the sunglasses and chewed them in two before we could get them, away from him. The guy was a bit pissed.

Sorry to hear about it... Hope you can replace your dog with another! Never looking forward to that day...
Mom just called last week, her (appy) horse of 32 years was dead in the pasture last wednesday.. It was her time I guess but she got that horse when I was 3 years old... Lots of memories, rest in peace!!

To all you who are going through the loss of a canine friend and family member heartfelt sympathy. The hardest thing I have ever done was take my Beamer to the vet the last time .

They hurt so much to loose because they are so great to have. Never have figured out the logic of not replacing a good dog. Sure it wont be the same but it will most likely be good. Bad Tye BAD DOG  What did ya say Dave? Sounds like something that would happen to me after getting in an accident with the guy while blatently Fing around with my cell phone and running a red light. aaahhhh sorry
