If your 6-wt. could talk, it would probably be complaining of soreness in the butt section this week.... A few years ago, a solitary 6-wt. was all I had in my arsenal, so I used it to catch a lot of salmon. It was a chinook about the size of the one you caught there that finally did her in. At first glance, everything seemed fine. When I went to take the rod apart later, however, the damage became evident. Hairline cracks all around the first ferrule. Those kings are bruisers, to be sure. Congrats!
