So, this morning while at work, my fiance walks over with the dog and says, "Did you notice anything this morning?"

"Oh crap, what did the dog do now?"....

No, not the dog. The refridgerator is dead. Everything is warm...

$@&%!, I'll try to wrap things up here as fast as possible and come check it out.

Sure enough; es muerte. She's fillin garbage cans with spoiled stuff...
So, I call a co worker and have him cover for a few hours, and we rush to town, pick out a new fridge, arrange delivery Wed. (they didn't have the color she wanted in stock), and I walk out 1/2 mo. salary (that ain't sayin much...don't worry) lighter in the pocket. $&%@!

Get home, fiance (chef, degree in nutrition) decides that the oven doesn't match, and doesn't do the things she'd like it to, and if we're replacing the fridge, then it's time to replace the oven as well. So... she goes online, finds some "*amazing*" convection oven...and she buys it. (yes, she, thank god!)

We go outside to check on the garden, water some flowers around the house, etc., and as we walk back in through the utility room, I notice the door to the breaker box is open... (the day before, I had relpaced the old light outside the mud room door) As I flip the breaker back on, and walk through the kitchen door... the DEAD refridgerator... is now ALIVE! &%@#!

Checking all the other breakers, I find that the ONLY things this one turns off, is the outside mud room door light, AND the refridgerator in the kitchen. Genius ehh?

So, now that I have two working fridges...and two ovens, anyone need one? beathead

Extra Refrigerators are nice to have, I don't know about doubling-up on the ovens though.

Sell the old oven, put the old fridge in the garage and fill it up with bait, extra beer, whatever...

Fish on...

Problem is... I've already done the 'fish fridge' thing... That was my response when she said the real fridge died. "We can just move the fish fridge into the kitchen" response *look of death*...

Two fish fridges is a little much... thinking maybe a Jonas/Romulus style smoke house... if only we had humpies down here rofl

As for the oven... maybe set it up in the garage as a new tuna canning/pressure cooker place...

I'm thinking she put her college learning to good use, flipped the breaker and conned you out of new appliances. Smart.

Probally not the answer you are looking for- but if it were me I would just not have the new one delivered. Old ones working fine put that other half of your check back in the bank.

Thats what I did when the wife decided that since we were replacing the dishwasher, stove we might as well replace the fridge since she never liked it anyways (she picked it out when we built the house). It now sits in my garage nest to the freezer. It now acts as a home for my homebrew beer kegs, pop and such on in the fridge. Frosted mugs go in the top freezer along with spots for ice jugs for the cooler and bait for the bait box. Works for me.
