Talked to the crew down there again last night. Sounds like it's rolling now.. They had limits by 11:30am yesterday a coho and king for their 4 customers, missing/losing 5 other opportunities.. 3 bites on spinners and the rest on herring.....

Heard two more reports of good fishing, but not so many coho in the river yet. Red & white for spinners, and of course I have every color but. Co-worker is making a run for fresh herring tomorrow.

It being a king year and all, don't be afraid to troll deep i.e. 45+ pulls on the diver in the deep water above the bridge on the WA side. Or, downrigging right on the bottom w/hotspot and ace hi in the 65'+ water right at the deadline AKA PS blackmouth style. You may fill your box with URBs while others are playing with Coho. Just sayin'

Spent the first week of Aug there and we were fishing the Ocean. Limits for the boat each day with 50% kings - all kings but one were on the deep downrigger while the silvers were shallow diver or downrigger.

It's definately rollin'. Herring has been hot, and spinners not, but that will change I'm sure.

Just received a report from my friend who's on the water right now, slow morning for most everyone, a few Kings boated by others but it's not smok'in by any means.

They have been on the water since 6 am with only one missed takedown.

Today we went 6 for 13, 3 Coho on spinners, 3 kings on herring. Almost had a triple on at one point, but we lost one before the 3rd rod lit up.

Our catch rate wasn't so good, but we'll try harder tomorrow.

We did get 13 crab though.
