...a new show on the History Channel. My first impression was "where the fluck did they find these degenerate freaks." Then, after a bit of self inflection, I realized that I'd hang out with those guys over the fauxhawk wearing jersey shore metros we typically see on TV. I'm hooked after one episode.

Huh? What did he say?

I liked it. The dude (dad) in the polo type shirt put it in cement for me. One month gator season to save the little swimmers.....
The other father son team was cool as well...put on your white boots and lets go.

Hey everyone, you should know the origin of a word if your trying to use it disguised as profanity. The word several seem to love had its origin in old England and means Fornication Under Consent of the King.

The modern term you are trying to apply is based upon a terminology that was intended to degrade women and evolved to mean anything is a unholy screw up. Not the best term to use depending on your views of the subjection of women.

It was a low tech version of the deadliest catch. I liked the older guy as well. I can identify with these guys, and I'd have a huge styrofoam cup of something with them any time.

There's way more to the word than that!

Perhaps one of the most interesting words in the english language today, is the word [censored]. Out of all the english words that begin with the letter 'f' ...[censored] is the only word refered to as 'the f word... It's the one magical word. Just by its sound can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love. [censored], as most words in the english language is derived from german ...the word fuieken, which means to strike.
In english, [censored] falls into many grammatical categories:

As a transitive verb for intance ...John fucked Shirley.
As an intransitive verb...Shirley fucks.

Its meaning is not always sexual, it can be used as...

An adjective such as ...John's doing all the [censored] work.
As part of an adverb ...Shirley talks too [censored] much.
As an adverb enhancing an adjective ...Shirley is [censored] beautiful.
As a noun ...I don't give a [censored].
As part of a word ...absofuckinglutely -or- infuckingcredible.
And as almost every word in a sentence ...[censored] the [censored] [censored].

As you must realize, there aren't too many words with the versatility of [censored]...such as these examples describing situations such as:

Fraud ...I got fucked at the used car lot.
Dismay ...ahhh [censored] it.
Trouble ...I guess I'm really fucked now.
Agression ...Don't [censored] with me buddy.
Difficulty ...I don't understand this [censored] question.
Inquiry ...Who the [censored] was that?
Dissatisfaction ...I don't like what the [censored] is going on here.
Incompetance ...He's a fuc...

Yeah, well, the rest of us learned the origins of that word in junior high. Good to see that you've caught up. Words evolve and take on new meanings over time. As Keta detailed, there are many meanings to that word and you should be able to figure it out based on context/usage. If not, well...

I enjoyed Swamp People quite a bit. Something that occurred to me was that Cajuns, who are often viewed as a laughing stock, are extremely resourceful and self-sustaining, and in my view, among those most fit to survive an all-out economic meltdown (which is seeming more and more likely every day).

The show featured some great cinematography of the Louisiana swamplands, and I also enjoyed learning new terms like "tree-shaker."

Good stuff, Paw Paw.

If anyone is interested (probably not), check out:

http://www.snopes.com/language/acronyms/*uck.asp

Substitute the and f for the * in the URL.

I should be fishing today instead of looking up nonsense like this.

Swamp people was fun to watch, I spent some time down there back in the 60's when I was in the Army. Almost like a different world, the people are really friendly and welcoming.

I expected a bunch of practicing Gator Necrophilians from Enumclaw. Nope. Swamp people are much more intelligent.
