DR, my DB is only 3 yrs old with one coat of Coat It on it, haven't had to do any repairs but it will be due for a complete coat next summer.
I would say unless the scrapes go all the way down to aluminum you should be ok until the next full caot is needed. You can try a repair, but not sure how it would hold up.
I'd be interested too if someone has tried a repair versus a complete re-coat.

So, it is down to Gluv it or Coat it, complete or partial coat or recoat for now. What i want to do is sand down the rough spots and put some fresh stuff on.

You can recoat just the damaged area. Just prep the damaged area by sanding it to clean aluminum with 60 or 80 grit. Then feather the edges of the still intact good Gluv it with some 60 or 80 grit, so you've got a faIrly smooth transition area. Then recoat it, using a few coats to build up the thickness and blend it into the existing gluv it.

its not that expensive considering what your protecting.I covered the bottom of my boat with uhmw, 5'-12' sheet uhmw 200.00$. I bought a 2 part glue from one of the only manufacturs that make one that will stick to uhmw , REL-TEK. I had to prep the aluminum and then etch the uhmw. The whole thing only took about 1.5 hrs.

i think it was north river, but one of the jet boat companies is putting uhmw on in the factory, tpparently they put the hull on a big rottiserie type machine and use heat and glue to mold and stick it to the bottom.

Partial coat is fine grind edges down and make sure none is loose and cover bad areas.

Coat it can go over Gluv it, not vice versa.
I had a friend with the UHMW... it came off after/while hitting a rock, well, partially off, the rest of teh drop took it all the way off. He's not a fan anymore...
