Yep.... totally operator error. MINE!  And I didn't even need a FOLBE rod holder to do it!  If someone happens to snag my 65# Rapala Stretch Braid.... attached to a Loomis SAR1265, vintage 40+ yr old ABU 7000, custom Blue Eyes FishFlash, and custom pink clamshell spinner bait rig and an 18-20# platinum salmon.....   Feel free to keep the fish, but I'd sure like the gear back.  Pretty please......

Not much to tell. Big fish suddenly pulled harder than the wimpy grasp I was able to muster with my gripless fingertips. Seems I inadvertently sent more than a few items overboard that day. I'll let CanyonMan tell the rest of the story.

it's that don't take your eye off the fish deal. fish turns and runs strait away rite in line with the guides and handle slides right out of your paw thing. Bad juju to grab rod out of an 11 year old girls hand. She may of lost the fish but never would of given up the rod...over all a good weekend

It was funny when your crew was all looking away and the rod in the back corner had a fish. Good thing there was a nice guy close by to tell you. Looked like you guys were having alot of fun.

Hey I almost snagged that reel with the net...and I thought the kiddo had lost it overboard...roflmao.... Doc is the only guy I know that will lose a full beer and garbage bag trying to save 10 cents to recycle a used ziploc to put fresh fish eggs in. Wait until you see the costco sized ziploc pack I'm bringing for you this weekend, hopefully it will eliminate the need to rifle through the trash to find a used one. lmao again. I do believe "someone" told you to just grab a new one. Always entertaining doc, always entertaining!!! CM

How many times have ya said that in the operating room? Happens to everybody I guess... Good thing we are required to wear gloves in the O.R. They really help to improve GRIP-tion, you know. If I had bothered to keep a pair of gloves on last Sunday, maybe that rod wouldn't have slipped outta my grasp so easily. Yeah, yeah ... I said GRIP-tion.... it's one of them medical terms don'cha know?
