Only place so far I've found is the Elma RV Park...anything better or closer?

What kind of camping are you thinking about doing?

Roughing it or somewhere with hookups?

Roughin it for sure...don't need a hook up...Friends Landing and Lake Silvia State Park are both closed in the winter. Any other ideas? Strike Zone...thanks for the offer but it will be during the week.
Thanks guys for the input...

Just go upriver, the houses end and the gravel roads begin. Camp anywhere ya want. Lot of the roads are gated but many are open. Camp somewhere down the 73 or 7400 rd.

The only problem with camping out @ the end of one of those spur roads is ya better not leave anything of value while out on the river.Just sayin.Good luck,

I think we'd like a place where we can leave out tent and some belongings behind so we don't have to set up/break down for 3 straight days...maybe the Elma RV Park is our best best...it's open in the winter...

Its basically a flat spot next to the freeway, but I think it has some amenities. There are year-round residents there. It is definitely safer for your stuff. Bunch of old-fogies around all the time.

If you are planning on fishing the upper river try the satsop center. very reasonable rates for a not to fancy but comfortable room. They have camping sites with access to showers. Last time I floated the 7400 to white bridge we stayed at the center. Drove the short distance to the 7400 and started to fish. Reliable Mick had my rig and trailer at white bridge. Worked great.
