I got on the site last evening to pull a video off and saw Parker's post. I opened it up and was immediately floored at the news. I just signed off and started thinking.
I was thinking that I had never met Tim, never had any contact with him outside of what he posted on this board, but yet I knew him. I had learned things about his life, who he was, just from this board. Even though most of us don't know each other in person, we are still connected to each other's lives through this board. It just struck me how I could feel such sadness for a guy I never had any personal contact with.
Tim, I pray that your soul is at rest and you have found true peace.
For Tim's family I pray that the good Lord will bring you comfort and peace.
For the people who really knew Tim, I pray your sadness will be tempered through the rememberance of what a good friend did for you in this life and that you too will find peace.
Amen!

I never met Tim, but read most, if not all, of Sol's 7710 posts. His passion and intensity were ever present in both his writing and his pictures. He revealed more of himself through sharing good times and bad, than anyone else on this board.
Your heartfelt tributes and incredible pictures are a measure of the impact Tim's life had on so many of you. Thanks for sharing the memories. Sorry for your loss. Best wishes for all of his family.
I never met Tim but remember seeing some of his posts. I'm sorry for everyone's loss. He will be missed. Hopefully he is up there hooking 30lb. Steelhead everyday on an endless, perfect run.

Very sad news to hear yesterday, Although it only happened a few times for me I enjoyed the time spent laughing and fishing with Tim ... very fun guy and one hell of a fisherman!!! I had great respect and admiration for Tim and his talents and feel grateful to have learned a thing or two from him ... RIP

I only knew Sol from his posts, but he will be missed by many. His family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.
I hope this quote from Buechner might help:
“When you remember me, it means that you carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely forgotten.” - Buechner
Very sad to read this news. Never met Sol but definatley interacted with him in a few threads a few years ago. Great arguments at times. My condolences to his family and to all that lost him as a friend.

RIP Tim...never had a chance to fish with or really get to know him but I was scared shiatless to post on most of his threads back in the early days of PP.
Condolences to his kids and those closest to him.

I can't imagine what his kids and family must be going through... I've been in and around similar situations and offer only this... "Time heals all things.." It won't be short, it won't be easy, but it will get better--eventually. Sincere condolences to you all.

I too want to offer my sincere condolences to Tim's family and close friends. Although I did not know Sol like a lot of you here, my interaction were always informative and entertaining. He seemed like a true friend and one that would do ANYTHING for those he cared for.
RIP Sol and we'll see you on the river again someday!

Ike just mentioned this to me-Wow what a shock and how very sad
The only condolences I can come up with is that Sol lived every day to the max and got the most out of every day and every adventure of which he enjoyed so many.
Even as a newby on this board Tim always made me feel like I was one of his oldest friends and when I posted a question or a problem would always make sure I got it answered or resolved. He invited me into this PP brotherhood and was a springboard for many of the friends I've made here.
RIP Tim.

Condolences to Tim's family. He was one of the characters who made this BB an entertaining and informative place to be. I never met him, but his threads and posts were terrific! I can't help but think he gave Big Bob more than his share of grey hair for his posts, but that was Sol.
Plus, just based on the pics on this BB, he caught more big salmon and steelhead than I ever will, even if I live to be 100. Make that 200.......
Always enjoyed his posts, and would look to see when 7710 was going to change. So sad on many levels, especially for his family. Looks like he was a very good friend to many of you here, and that is a wonderful thing to have had. Looking at the pictures that he would post, and adventures he would tell made me want to become a better fisherman. RIP
I never met Sol either but he was the one that got me interested in this PP site. He absolutely cracked me up on many occasions. I have missed his posts. There have been and continue to be "Sol Wannabe's" here trying pretty hard but I can't see it happening. Just too high of a bar was set. My thoughts are with his family and friends. R.I.P. Jimmy
