I now have the full tying kit to go along with the blender! Started tying some buggers today, not to good yet but I've been using Kaari and Sparks to my advantage, getting directions over AIM.

Any suggestions? What would be a good fly to start on? thanks!

Ryan might be a real good source for info as he works at the Bellevue Kaufmann's. That's one of our real good local fly shops.

Kaari.... maybe you could talk her into saving you some pheasant and hun skins what with all her hunting.

Nice thing about buggers is the body on the easy ones is just chenille. A good fly to start out on. Only one easier is a carey special.

Congrats on getting the kit. Keep me posted on your first fishing trips. One place that's a good one for sight fly fishing is Leech Lake up on top of White Pass. The Lake doesn't usually open up intil sometime in June because of elevation, but the brookies in it are fun to catch, relatively easy too.
