Florida GOP debate audience boos soldier in Iraq. That soldier had enough courage in his convictions to make that video prior to the end of DADT. He could have been discharged had the debate been held last week. I wonder how many of those in the audience booing have enough courage in their convictions to actually serve time in a combat zone. And why was there no admonition from any candidate towards those booing? First it's cheering to let the uninsured die, now it's booing soldiers in a combat zone. Nice.

Like I keep saying...any R who has to suck up to those fools and idiots who vote in Republican primaries in order to win the primary will be 100% unelectable in any national election.
Letting the TeaBaggers set the R agenda, tone, and leval of lunacy, will doom anyone that gets the nomination.
Can't say I'm sad about that...they're the biggest collection of douchebags ever assembled on one stage.
Fish on...

In the long run does it really matter who you boink, as long as they are of legal age and give consent?
Does being gay give you less ability to aim and kill an enemy?
Does being gay make you less of a Helo, fighter, bomber, or cargo pilot?
Does being gay mean you will have a hard time viewing a RADAR or SONAR Screen?
Do gay men and women not catch shell fragments and bullets as well as straight people do?
Does being Gay make someone that much less of a patriot than someone who is straight?
The people that fight battles in the trenches don't risk life and limb for their country, they do it for the guy standing next to him. They do it out of love for their fellow warfighter. Does it really matter to you, or me if that love is platonic or not? To be honest it is none of our business.
The people that cheered should be ashamed of themselves especially if the jeers were a result of their Christian belief, it is not our business to judge somebody for their sexual preference, i believe God reserved that right for Himself.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Those f'ers should be sent to the front lines..............and then shot in the back.
Then someone should piss on them.
What disgusting pieces of human garbage.

Any person willing to fight in our all volunteer army is to be respected, regardless of who they choose to have a relationship with. Very sad.

Toooooo Funny. Can't stand the truth or what? The reason I asked if the soldiers' had been polled is because it is THEY who are directly affected. That's all. And off goes Aunty Argument......for what? Then attack the messenger, and his father. I don't know what's become of you, perhaps your meds are out of whack, but something sure as hell is. Heal thyself, woman! I don't recall anyone asking for your opinion, not that that is important (especially to you, Ms Sixteen Thousand Plus Posts...). You are addicted to this. Perhaps PP Anonomous is in your future?

This type of behavior makes me wonder just how many people understand that those in the military are out there defending everyone's rights. While they put their lives on the line others would strip them of their right to choose differently. This hubris should come to screeching halt!
Let the mud slinging continue..........

DADT was discriminatory, and should have never been enacted.
I don't care a bit about any poll of anyone, soldiers or otherwise...polls and opinions don't make things discriminatory or not.
In the service and don't like it? Too bad. Now shut up and go do your job. Want to complain about it? Cool...complain from the brig just like you'd be doing if you whined like a little baby about any other orders you receive.
Need to leave the military because you're afraid someone might see your tiny prick? Don't let the door hit your pansy ass on the way out.
Fish on...

DADT was discriminatory, but is was a far cry better then what was in place prior. Under DADT a recruiter could not keep a gay person from entering the service, because there used to be a question on the application that asked if you were a homosexual, or had ever committed a homosexual act. DADT also kept commanders from prosecuting suspected homosexuals, because they couldn't come right out and ask the service member. The only way a service member could be brought before an Article 15 (Captain's Mast for the USN) is if the person was caught or had outed themselves.
Like Aunty M's hubby, we knew who was and was not, and it really didn't matter as long as the job was done.
