I fished the north end on Sunday. A lot of silvers around Hunts Pt. and Juanita Pt. and Champagne Pt. and Noth Pt.
The gillnets went in at 6pm tonight and won't come out until noon Friday. I talked to a gillnetter this evening and he said the fishing slowed way down in the Ship Canal area. Sounds like most of the silvers are in the Lake now, so I'd get after 'em A.S.A.P.

Hey Cigar. Thanks for the information. I hope a few are left for this weekend - which is the earliest I can out there.

I saw two fish caught by one fellow trolling slowly with a large chrome dodger. The kicker is I didn't see whether he was using a spoon or a plug behind it. I picked one up trolling for cutts with a green/glo coyote spoon in 60 feet of water right on the bottom.

Chrome dodger size 0, tie on a 30" leader with a bare red or black 4/0 hook. I recommend soft leader material. (Stren 10 or 12 pound test). Put it out 30' behind the rigger. I prefer to troll faster than most, so I use a 48" leader length. Talked to a tribal fisher this afteroon, he said there are lots of big silvers in the lake now, and they're still coming through the locks at about 1500 a day. GO GET 'EM Cigar

Sorry, but no eye candy at Juanita bay today. Too foggy out. Parker and I got 4 silvers just off Hunts Pt. this morning trolling Wiggle Warts. Also C & R'd two nice cutts. I'd recommend fishing it Sunday, the nets go back in at 6:00pm tomorrow. Cigar

Very good fishing for silvers Sunday morning around 9:30 am at the King Hole. Picked two in 30 minutes on a Coyote spoon at 55' in 65 to 80' of water.

Easy,
Kind of hard to describe. Directly across from Arrowhead point and slightly south. South of Sheridan beach, but not as far south as Matthews beach. Look for a blue Spectrum, I'll be out both Sat & Sun mornings. Think Hunts Point, Juanita Bay, Arrowhead and the King Hole. Coyote spoons have been working well for me, but first you have to find the fish and hope they feel like biting.

Carl, From what I've been hearing, a herring dodger in front of the spoon on a shorter leader with a lot of scent. Or the sockeye rig. I'm going out this Saturday and giving it a try. I sure hope there are still some fish around? Anybodys' thought on that? Craig

Well, I guess I'd better stop bragging! You-all in the T-Jet were the ones with the hot hand! Going to try again this weekend?

We saw that blue Spectrum, the guy with me used to have one just like it but a year older, last of the riveted hulls. He was definately drooling. We were in an older blue Bayliner Capri with a bow cover on. Amazing how the boats disappeared with no biters. We did get a colored Sockeye around noon, but nothing else.
