About the right time for things to start kicking off down here. Will have to see if I can make it out before the bite stops again.

Dear mods,

Please consider elevating Mergantroider's status from Spawner to "old fuddy duddy".

Well just plain sh--! The middle experienced the seal BRIGADE IN FORCE. Now above S Monte is doing better as the fish can not fart ( if they could ) with out a seal on them in the middle.

HOW TO FISH? Whatever gets you revved and gets away from the seals. The middle reach ( Weyco / Friends Landing ) sucks as if a fish stops a seal is on it. Lost three so far to the SOB's. Just said the hell with it and went to spoons and Blue Fox green or pink bell doing best. 6 fish in two days / 4 are jacks / turned 1 Chinook loose / seals took my damn Coho / and 3 other I only guess at that got away because I am a STUPID SH--!! Pay attention Timber!!

Lady in Red time and a lovely lady not in red (* hopefully ) . You guys have a good night!

AM your getting WAY to cranky you old bat! grin

I have a better idea for the seals but would have to run through 3 years of red tape and spend more on research and permits than it would cost to impliment it.

Sounds like the fish are moving in full force. Guess I will have to try and go fishing in the morning.

Not catching fish makes everyone sound like old farts so quit complaining and put a slab in the boat or on the bank.

I have plans to try and go tomorrow, went yesterday and today, paying for it but went. Lost one each day but that is par for the course for me in early season. Not much in the lower river today but the tides have the fish free swimming anywhere they want.

Not sure what I would rename to, Skullet Christopher maybe? Fishing dummie might fight. "No I am not trying to catch and release" would fit so far this year. "Bring the Net, Dummy" might be even better. You pick unless you have a better one.

AuntyM, you are one I would like to meet on the river. Maybe not anywhere else but on the river, sure. smile

That was the point of saying ON THE RIVER. No way I would want to be alone with anyone on here.

Fishing sucks right now on Chehalis above bridge, should get a lot better in the coming days with higher tide changes and faster water movement coupled with some fresh rain in the water.

Humptulips river on it's way up and hopefully will reach 10.75-11 foot and stay there for a while.

A friend fished near the airport and went one for two.

I'll be doing the South Channel thing this next week.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering if it was worth going out or not.

Well went dead. Mostly Chinook hooked today so ........ normal. Yesterday was hot but went dead in the evening not much rolling / jumping so not a surprise. This is common on the front end of a barometer drop. We have a real change in weather http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/weather/10_day.cgi and look at Monday. Over 1 1/2 inches coming in so this should be interesting. So Sunday or Monday everything is going to move HARD and it will be fun time if you get on the herd.

Enjoy but your gonna get wet!

Blown off the water today. Russle wimped out on the trip. Bob the Builder and I tried from daylight to get presentation.
No hits, no sniffs, or errors.
