I have a Guide Select float/centerpin rod, the 13' 6" IM-8 graphite, rated at 4-8 lb line with a lifetime warranty and rod bag. I used this rod one time one the Yakima last winter (or the year before) and caught one large O. mykiss (steelhead) and a few whitefish. I think I wrote a report about it on the main page. Anyway, I'm looking for something a little different so I'd like to sell this to someone who is interested.

Check out the pics, the cork still looks brand new. It is a 3-piece rod and has a hook keeper. I had a Ross Flow which balanced nicely with it but I'm keeping the reel.

The rod brand new retails for $160...I'm asking for $100.

Yep. I literally used it one time winter fishing the Yak, learned how to cast a line well enough after about 15 minutes, caught some fish, and never picked it up again. I had two spools, one filled with mono and the other with some yellow coated braid stuff. I used tried them both but can't even remember which one I liked better.

I've been fishing the same rod with the sliding rings for years. I love mine and really don't think you can beat it for the price. Very light, sensitive, great guides.....all other float/centerpin rods of similar length and lone rating are heavy, clunky, and have crappy guides.

Wish I had an extra $100 I would pick it up for my dad so he'll finally let me use mine for once this year smile

I had planned on building a custom pin rod and keeping the Flow. I don't need another spinning rod but might be open to other things for trade.

Drifter101,

I thought long and hard about whether to get the sliding rings or an actual real seat. I don't remember now what convinced me to get the seat model, possibly the idea that some folks put tape on the rings to keep them from sliding. Is that a problem for you?

Once the rings start to slide use bike tire rubes cut in small 2" chunks slid over each slideband

Only once had my slide rings come loose. They were loose to begin with and I didn't check them. Kind of sinking feeling when your reels falls off. Glad it wasn't in the river. I am always checking them and haven't had a problem since. Once they're cinched up, they seem to stay just fine.
