Wish I didn't use my right hand to reel. I have a Curado 300 I never use and is in awesome condition.

The curado and abu both cast nice and feel comforable in the palm, especially for a larger reel.

What made me switch to the Revo toro (I have switched my other two bait casters to Revo STX) was the Drag...much stronger and smoother IMO.

My hands down fave is my New Revo STX 7.1 ratio that I got for my B. day.


Again...the curado is a great reel...just came down to preference and feel for me...can't go wrong with either one.


Why are you wanting to switch? Are you willing to sell you toro as opposed to trading?

My buddy got the new 301 and I love it. My toro dosnt cast anywhere close to as smooth and far as the curado. I bought some hot sauce lube and greese thinking that might help but I havnt serviced it yet. It also has a zing noise when i realy cast it hard.

CU 300/301 = disengaging line guide
Toro 51 = *non-disengaging line guide

Yea the shimanos are alot quiter becuase of the disengaging line gear. Iv heard there packed full of unneeded grease that slows them down. The curado i compared to it just seemed so much smoother and easier to cast and i dont think the disengaging guide was to only thing making it smoother, Reeled smoother casted smoother.I was alittle hesitant trading it cuz i heard they no longer make this reel but the winch is realy the same thing with differnt gears. So if i regret it il just get another revo winch.
