I am looking for a springer guide on the lower Columbia. I would like to find someone that trolls more than anchors as I want to learn so I can eventually use my own boat for springers. Not really interested in setting up my Arima with river anchor so trolling is the best option. Would prefer someone who fishes the lower part of the river as that is where I would most likeley fish with my own boat. Who do you recommend?

tight lines guide service, Tom Lines, 206 715 0879. all he does is troll for springers, fishes out of Cathlamet, and does very well. He has fished there since the opening in 2000. Has a 24 or 25' sled.

Betnar and Mathers are both Astoria guys. If you want to fish low then they would be good options.

if you want to fish the Oregon city fishery it is hard to beat Wayne Priddy. Dude can outfish about anyone out there. Ian Premo is also a good option. Kevin Lund can back bounce the sh.it out them also.

For the I-5 or Davis Bar troll fishery Take your pick....that place can be a zoo at times
