Try Adventure Sports in Edmonds, or Kesselrings up north by Bow Hill and the Skagit Casino on old HWY 99

So where do you live?
Kesselrings is great. Good prices, awesome selection. Try Welchers in Tacoma. Try Sportco.
Are you looking for 12 gauge slugs? I have a number of different type slugs, 13 boxes in all. I could part with a box of Hornady H2K's(300gr xtp at 1900fps) in 2.75", a box of Rottweil Brennekes (1.375 oz at 1600 fps) in 3", and a box of Lightfield Commander IDS (1 1/16th oz at 1900 fps) in 3.5" if you have a gun that shoots cigars.
My Mossberg 835 liked the Federal premium copper plated 1 oz. hydrashock slugs in 3". Got an elk with one shot this year. Went all of 30 yards. I didn't have time to pattern the 3.5" shells, but I do have a spare box.

I was at Sportco this afternoon and saw the following specialty slugs. Must have received a new shipment since you were there last.
Hornady H2K's Remington all copper sabots Federal Hydrashoks 1 oz. Federal Barnes X sabots in both 3/4 and 1 oz.
That along with the Rottweil slugs (very accurate because of the stabilizer) should give you a good selection if you can make it up to Sportco. You might have purchased a Mossberg Model 500. It is a 3" gun. All barrels for the 835 are 3.5" barrels.

I missed my first deer of the season with a 12ga federal sabot, the shot did not feel or sound right when I fired. I told my next door neighbor about it, and he ended up giving me a box of rottweil brennekes and the next day I droped a 2pt in its tracks.

There are a number of places in Thurtson county that are firearms restriction zones where you can only hunt with shotguns, pistols, or muzzleloaders. This area is basically anywhere north of I-5 and hwy 101.
I like to use shotguns in the thick reprod areas where you might have a pretty close shot, or in the heavy timber. I suggest you limit your range to 75 yards, unless you have had plenty of practice. Those big hunks of lead and copper have some loopy trajectories.
The Capitol Forest in southwestern Thurston county has lots of ground suitable for a shotgun, as well as the 501 Lincoln unit in Lewis county. One other area is on Simpson land in the Lynch road area near Shelton.
Best of Luck. Andy
