I have just returned form my first trip to NW, and I must say it will definitely not be my last!

Everyone there was extremely helpful. The Museum is incredible and everything I could possibly want is there.

Roger was very friendly and helpful. I in no way felt shy about being a newbie. He checked out my bow, gave me opinions and insight and helped me to gain much needed experience.

I spoke with him a bit about the incindent regarding draw length, and he explained the policy and why it is in place. I can understand his position, may not agree withit, but understand it. He was sorry that Jason was left with a bad impression of the place, and I believe he is.

He took the time to explain many things to me, show me some bows, including his own. Ones he has built himself, which I must say were gorgeous.

All in all, I cannot say enough good things about this company and the staff. I will be visiting them as often as I can to glean information and gain supplies.

Roger has asked for this website since he too, is an avid fisherman. I look forward to him on the board and him sharing his vast knowledge with the rest of us.

If you get the chance, stop by, it will be worth your time!!

After reading this and looking at their website, it looks like pretty close to heaven for a traditional archer. smile

It would be very cool if he came here and started posting. I'm sure someone that actually works with archery stuff all day every day would have a world of insight to share with us "weekend warriors" of archery. It sounds like they deal a lot more with wooden arrows and "stick bows" but I bet they would still know quite a bit about these "new fangled" bows and carbon arrows. Let's hope he makes it here and likes what he sees. cool

Hey DeKuma …I am so glad hello you went down to NW Archery!!! They are all great people there. I haven't seen him in a while but Troy is a great guy too! Don't be fooled by those kind ladies either, they all can shoot and I believe at least in the past have hunted as well! They also have a deep well of knowledge.

Hey Jason… ya they definitely know the long and short of Traditional archery but they also can definitely help out those “new fangled” arrows and bows! I bought the first batch of arrows I owned, but since then I have always made my own, the staff/family at NW Archery have helped me resolve several problems and made great suggestions!

I look forward to having Roger at the board!!!

Even if you don't need to buy anything the museum is worth the trip!!! It has so much cool stuff!!!

DeKuma also, if you liked the looks of Roger's bow and you have the time and money I would recommend again taking the class (at http://www.selfbow.com ) and make your own!

Shoot Straight!!! moose

I certainly agree that the museum alone is worth a long trip. It is amazing the old stuff in there, and then the mounts......oh! the mounts!!

Nothing like seeing the first ever world record non-typical muley antlers or some of the incredible animals taken by bow they have. If you are at all interested in Fred Bear or the St.Charles family, history of modern archery or big azz animals, you have got to check it out!

I was surprised that they also offer quite a bit for the non-traditional archer. Definitely a lot of arrows and arrow making eqipment!
