Airline tickets? Check Hotel? Check Rental car? Check Race tickets? Check Looks like I'm headed to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX in November for the Formula One USGP. I just hope the damage to my hearing won't be permanent.     The track will be ready. Book it.

Someone would have to love F1 an awful lot to go to Texas to watch it.
Have fun. No chit. I'd love to see all 49 states but if my feet never touch the tainted dirt of Texas I'll be a happy man. I've only met one guy from Texas I could stand to be around, the rest were loud mouthed, braggert, douchenozzles. Texas women over the age of 25 all remind me of Tammy Fay Baker wannabes with too much makeup and stupid-[Bleeeeep!] hair all up in a bouffant. Phvck Texas. Have a great time DanS.

Texas BBQ ain't a bad way to look at it and from what I've heard Austin is a cool place. Southern college chicks and the river walk would be a good way to look at the simple fact that it's still Texas.
I'm sure you'll have fun, if not just blame it on Texas.

They gave us ear plugs when I went to the GP at Spa, Belgium.
I said "f.uck that" and tossed them in the trash.
Then I thought blood was going to run out of my ears by the time the race ended.
I think I'll hold on to the ear plugs this time.

That video of the Renault engine cracks me up. They're just running that thing to death. It's crazy that they run them close to that hard in race conditions, and the engines have to last two full races of close to two hours each.
