Question, as I wasn't able to make the South Sound PSA meeting last night. A buddy of mine said the news is the Potlatch boat launch is now tribaly owned (Skokomish Tribe) and it will cost you $15.00 to launch your boat and park in the lot. Can anyone else verify if this is true? I thought there was some kine of settlement with Tacoma PUD that was going to keep rates from increasing there.

so the tribes plug the public launches with pots and trailers and then charge $15 at Potlatch.

We talked about it last night at PSA yes. The break down is $7.00 to launch, and $8.oo to park. Or so we were told. Used to like to camp and fish and crab down there. Oh well

Tribes are "on a roll"......Casino's and now popular launch sites....just wait until the "habitat thing gets rolling", prices could increase 10 fold.

Where else can you launch down there with crabbing close by? I was planning to take the drifter over and don't want to row that far from the launch.

well in south Hood Canal, there is one over in Union, off of 106. It's right past main street if you are headed east on 106.

Here's the old state park. Doesn't say how much to launch at the lake.

Just got off the phone with the Tribe. It is 7 bucks to launch and 3 bucks to park Fri, Sat, and Sun.

I am sure they will find that most people will not pay 10 dollars to use that launch. I told the person I spoke with that it was only 5 dollars to launch at Westport and they really did not care. More power to them, to try and make a few bucks. I will just not go to the canal as much this year, and if I go it will be at another launch.
I just hope that the Squaxin's don't follow suite and start charging for Arcadia.
