Am seriously considering buying one in the next couple of days.Any of you have experience with them?Likes,Dislikes?
What, and how much for your favorite powder, bullets etc.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks folks.
By the way,I have a Wolverine that I've used for a few years, and just want to upgrade a little.

My hunting party bought 7 of them from bob's in longview for 279. Awesome buy... They are deadly. I shoot the 310 grain bullet and 110 grains of pyrodex pellets. We all bought the stainless barrell. Cleaning is very easy because the firing mech and the breach screw right out. You can shoot 150 grains of powder out of it, but i do not like it. 110 i have found shoots the best. Good luck and if you have any specific questions, e-mail me.

You might also consider a tc black diamond xr. Very accurate gun that comes standard with tc sights that in my opinion are the best you can get for a muzzleloader. They also come with #11 nipple musket nipple and the 209 kit. I just bought one for my uncle in a stainless synthetic for $299 on the internet.

I looked at a TC yesterday at Bobs.Matt told me that with the freefloating barrel set up on those rifles that you have to tighten the screw that holds the stock on.Exactly where it was when you removed it for cleaning.Otherwise it will affect the accuracy of the weapon.Do you know anything about that?
I would consider taking a closer look at one if thats not the case.
I also looked at the Ruger, too rich for my blood, but a fine looking muzzleloader.
And from what I hear from a few people the newer Remingtons are having problems.Thats why I am looking at the Bighorn.

Virtually any rifle or ml is affected by "messing" with the stock. If you loosen or tighten any screws it will probably affect the zero of the gun. Any pressure changes to the barrel will change where it shoots.

Ditto what HBP said. I have a remington and have had no trouble with it. Very accurate. Bang for your buck though I think the tc is a darn good gun. My buddy got one the first year the xr came out and he shoots it very good. I would think that you will be more than happy with any of the guns you're considering.

Good luck and enjoy.
