Well, I broke down and went turkey hunting yesterday. My very first time out ever, we (my 13 year old son and I) hiked in about 1/2 mile and I let of a crow call to locate gobblers.

We got an immediate reply.... and I just started laughing. Getting tom's to gobble is too funny. We actualy worked that tom to within 50 yards of my son, but not close enough. I learned a hard lesson about keeping some sand paper handy for my new slate call.

Afte that first tom, all I really wanted to do was go locate toms. I've never heard anything so funny sounding in my life.

I might be hooked.
