I have ceramic missing from a guide on my Rainshawdow rod. Should I order the part and fix it myself or send it back to Batson to see if it's covered under warranty? I think the warranty just covers the blank. Anybody fix rod tips? Had one guy in Tacoma redo my guides on my other Rainshawdow once but don't have his contact info.

Auburn Sports and Marine will do it for i think 7 bucks... Don at Dons Custom Rods may also be able to do it if hes not swamped, its around 10 bucks, but he is deffinately a pro, and deffinately worth the extra money...Auburn is great too...

i don't know of any guide manufacturers that sell inserts, at all. best way is to cut the guide off and re-wrap.

I'd contact Batson and see what they say.

Replacing a tip top is generally a very easy task.

Take the tip top and give these guys a call and then just mail it to her. She will match it up with what you have. Takes two secs to put a tip top back on just use the stick glue. Your making it much more difficult than it is. If I miss read and you lost a guide good advice above. Batson hangs out around here so maybe he will pick up.
