There's a coyote tourney in a couple weeks over in Ellensburg. My cousin is going to central and wants me to come over and chase songdogs with him. It starts at 5 pm on friday and runs until 5pm on saturday. Anyone know any good spots to do hunt coyotes over there. We were thinking of running over towards moses lake. Maybe hunt around the desert area. I'm betting our best hunting will be in the middle of the night.

Your right about the night.

There are $hitpots of 'em all over. My buddy lives in Mattawa and we sometimes go out at night when were over bird hunting. Try anywhere around there. Spotlight the fields at night and you'll find them for sure. We've seen up to a dozen in a field at once.

$50 to get in. Most coyotes, biggest male, and biggest female splits the money. 24hrs to get as many as you can.

I walked out of the Winchester (to Dodson rd) at the end of pheasant season at dark. I heard at least a dozen howlin. There are some nice little hills you can sit on top of and have excellent spotting/shooting.
I've seen dogs there everytime I've been there (even in the daylight).

over by the potholes resivior(sp) is a really good place. i use to go over there camping all the time and my friend and i would always go out spotting them with spotlights. so much fun

This hunt was cancelled because they didn't get a permit like the one you need for a fishing derby.

I just read your post. My cousin found out when he went and no one was there. Glad I had to work.
