A guy could get seriously addicted to this Muley stuff with years like this!

2004 - 27" 4x4

2005 - 24" 3x3 13.5" G4s

Can't wait for next year, though it will be hard to top the last two.

Hope everyone else has had or will have great success!

If you got them, flaunt them here!

Hey DeKuma - I'd post a pic or two, but I don't have a clue how to do it. Are the instructions posted somewhere?

Not asking where your secret spot is, but what general area are you hunting? I've been up in the Okanogan the last few years and have seen some big deer (my deer this year was good, but nothing huge - 3x3, 20" wide, 17" tall). I hunted the Palouse prior to that - an unreal number of deer down there, but no bigguns, at least that I've seen.

Salty,
To post the pic, I first uploaded to the UBB storage under the photos tab, then I create my message and enter the address from the storage between [img][/img]. So what you would insert is:

Note: there are to be no spaces after first . So using the above, this is what you get.

recognition goes out to landcruiserwilly. I used his picture from the storage.

Hope that helps. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
BTW - I am hunting around the town of Leavenworth.

I know what you your talking about, 2003 3x2 Mule deer opening morning, last year a 5x4 Mule deer Sunday afternoon of opening weekend, and this year a 5x5 Mule deer Sunday morning of opening weekend.

DeKuma - thanks for the help. I'll try to post my pics when I get home (I'm at the office now).

DeKuma and buckmaster - have you guys noticed a real uptick in the number of big bucks over the last few years? Obviously you guys are seeing some big bucks, and my buddies and I have seen quite a few in the last few years as well. 15-20 years ago, I was hunting the same area I'm hunting now, and I don't remember ever seeing bucks (dead or alive) the size we're seeing now. Personally, I think the 3-point minimum is doing wonders for the number of bucks and big bucks. I'm sure our relatively mild winters have helped too, but seems that the big bucks started showing up about 7-8 years ago after the 3-point min. went into effect. Thoughts?

Nice job guys. I've been hunting ID the last four years....maybe it's time to come back!
I posted pics last year and the year before but I just got a smaller spike elk and a basket rack 3x3 this year. They will eat well though :-)

I have definately noticed an upswing in the quantity and size of the bucks in my favorite areas. I hated the 3pt rule when it took effect, but now I see the wisdom in it and am reaping the rewards.

Buckmaster - Here's to hoping I can continue as you have. Post some pics of them bad boys!

i think 3pt or better is a good thing to. it allows the deer to get bigger thats for sure. and they get wiser so they keep away from people and get even bigger. i know personaly if it wasn't 3pt or bigger i could have shot alot of spikes and 2pts this year.

now only if they would make western washington at least 2pt or better. it would be alot nicer thats for sure.

Okay, here's my shot at posting a pic. Bear with me if it doesn't work.

This is my 2005 buck, shot Sunday of opening morning in the Okanogan. 3x3 with eyeguards, 20" wide and 17" tall. My good field pics somehow got deleted, so all I could do was snap a few head shots when I got home. Word to the wise - don't leave the head for a few days in a black plastic bag....
