Been a long time since Ive been on this site! almost forgot about it..while Ive been absent me and my friend sam tried making a fly fishing short film on our favorite small stream in the coast range. Thought you fellow fly flingers would enjoy it if you haven't already seen it. These were all resident fish ,no sea runs here.The fish grow large for resident cutties due to how healthy this gem of a stream is.We worked together on getting shots,my friend directed/edited and i was the fisherman.

Nice Video! reminds me of Porter Creek, just with some better fish. When I was little I remember some nice big cutts coming out ok little streams like this one. Seems like you have to work harder. Im only 22, its sad to see the decline in the last 10 years of good cutthroat fishing.

thanks everyone,really appreciate the kind words. my friend and i are going to be working on one throughout winter steelhead season,so keep an eye out for it around april.


stam, this stream is artificial flies and lures only,and the fish dont respond well to lures either(spooky/smart) so it's mainly fly fisherman. that plus the fact that barely anyone fishes it is one of the main reasons there are so many trout.
