ok i am going to archery hunt elk this season. i'm planning on hunting the elk heights area or rimrock. those are the 2 places i know about and have hunted in the past.

i'm just kinda wondering if there are any other places i should scout. preferably east side.

p.s. i havent baught my tags yet, cause im no certain on east side or west side.

I'm not a bow hunter but if open for archery anywhere in between those 2 spots can have elk. If you know those areas well no need to really scout anywhere else.

I've run into a lot of elk up by the microwave tower near elk heights. Some really big elk!
There are a couple of natural mineral licks up there that attract all the animals up there...been stalked by a cat up there too.

camofish its a little of both smile the minerals allow them to expand greatly in the microwave.

and yes i do agree that there are some big elk running them hills. to bad i never put in for bull tags. and this is the first time i will be hunting elk in about 6 years. so im just hoping to get an elk for the first time. and i want to hunt the place that is gonna give me the best results.
