All this talk about Air Craft. Leave the fly boys at home and launch a 50 or so TLAMs. Very little risk to personnel.

Yep, the best response to a tyrannical, oppressive government is to bomb the citizens of their country. That'll show 'em.

Heck, let's use nukes and when the place cools off in 50 years or so, we can call it East Virginia and add a big, black, oil-colored star to the flag.

It's not like anything ever goes wrong after you start bombing. Whoever survives will greet the bombers as liberators.

In reality you can't do that.
It would become a messy situation immediately.
They would start lobbing sh!t at Israel for the fun of it.
Suicide attacks on Persian Gulf shipping would shut down the shipping lanes.
US gas prices would soar.
Innocent people would die.

The Iranian people just need to take their country back.

That ain't nothin'.
They're burrowing so you need to drill down, penetrate way down through concrete, steel and Mother Earth herself to flush these rodents out.

“Without a change in leadership, why would the next four years be any different from the last four years?”

Interesting ending quote for this thread. Obama didn't start any wars in the last four years. I really, really want no difference in the next four years.

At the very least, I hope we pay for Bush's wars before starting a new one.

Are you suggesting that solving poblems in the Middle East is more difficult than succeeding in a video game? That's just stupid. Redhook, are you Karl Rove?

Certain areas of Washington would be perfect. I'd start in King county and work out from there. Targeting the large population centers and Todds basement dwelling (interwebz command central) first....goat farmers and flamers next.

Well I would think if the TLAMs took out their air strips that would eliminate the ability of the planes to land or take off to mess with our drones.

If that panty bomb included a few of Vedders tighty whiteys with the racing stripe I think you're right.

I'd be her honor...no doubt. Just as long as KupKake was allowed to "sniff" the ordnance before delivery I have no doubt it would be a smashing event.

The previous weapon was AGM-65 "Maverick"

The TP Express is a new variant championed by the Obama administration.
Think of it as military Obamacare.

Considering the fact a couple of worm attacks brought their nuke program to a halt and that all their top scientists are either dead or on American soil I'd say this war has been going on for several years now.

I'd also say with the success of the cyber/covert war we should just keep on keeping on until the Iranian people take over their own country.

Of course this doesn't help Wall Street and give the central bank an excuse to print another billion dollars to send to Wall Street so we'll probably end up sending in tanks beathead

shoot I feel right at home where I am. Thank You. Even tho you
tend to represent the space twixt your ears as sky, I suspect you are
a bit brighter than that.
Like it or not, most of the wars in our country's history have been
started with a Democraptic Cinc. I said Most.
One of the number one causes for those wars is misunderstandings.
Japan, Germany, North Korea, North Viet Nam and a Central
American state along with an Island of idioits all read the USA
differently than we are. Carter made us a Paper Tiger and the
destruction of our Embassy resulted and hostages were taken.
Now Iran is beginning to believe its' own BS, in my opinion.
Whether they could have downed the Predator or not is moot.
They took the option to shoot at it a bit.
WHY?
Can't be cause they're hissed off, they are always hissed off.
I think they just want to see if the O guy is another Carter.
Just sayin

Naw, B laden was living in a hidy hole watching the boob tube and trying to act like a leader of men. History tends to excrete those types of leaders, ala Hussain.
The Iranians are out in the open and acting like street toughs. Killing off a bunch of Iranian civilians is not a fix. Offing a bunch of Mullahs
and politicians is another matter. It can be done.
