You expressing any interest in my thoughts on queers is enough reason to make me run...
Speaking of which, I think my avatar is due for a change.. It's been a while, and everyone already knows I suck, you think I'm a picklekisser, and all I really am is a poor little black kid from the ghetto tryin to fit in...

Poor? Yes. Little? Please. Black? Yer pretty pasty. Kid? OK...I'll go with that. Ghetto? Well...Port Angeles, but close enough. Fit in? You fit fine...in XXXXL.
See ya next week, knucklhead!
Fish on...

P.S. I'll take the half-naked coeds, and Cuba...Florida can sink into the Everglades and make more fish habitat, so far as I'm concerned.

A blast from the past....
Interesting to see who all has (have?) come and gone and who's still left over after all these years.
If it means anything at all, PP is still my home water

For fear of some not starting from the beginning, this is worth a read for sure. Nice work Doc. After reading Salmonella's recent "thank you" post THANK YOU I got to thinkin'... what makes a board a GOOD board... or better yet a GREAT board ... or better yet, the BEST board? The answer really lies in the individual contributions of "we the members." Without the sharing and comraderie, this site is just another blip in cyberspace. So yes, mucho thanks to TRBO and company for providing an excellent forum to "share and care" about the piscatorial pursuit we all cherish, but thanks also to those members who make this place their "home river" and regularly contribute to make this site the wonderful place that it is. I challenge those of you who log in here only to lurk... become active participants. Just like our fisheries, it ain't cool to always take take take... for the good of the resource, ya gotta give a little love back once in a while, too. The top 10 posters are always displayed in the side-bar for all the world to see. However the new board format has a feature that I played with today... displaying the user list by post-activity. I was shocked to see that I had to go 85 pages in to the list of registered members before I found guys with their very first post. At 25 members per page, that's over 2100 registered guys that have yet to make a meaningful contribution to the board, let alone posting an introductory "Hello". That's right over 2100!
Then for kicks I decided to see how many "one hit wonders" we have among our ranks. Another 37 pages before running into members with a second post. WOW! nearly another 1000 folks that have only ever posted once... most of those being simple "Hi, I'm here" kind of posts. That's well over 3000 folks that are just along for the ride. Mighty tough to catch a fish sitting on the sidelines. Which of you is gonna make the next cast? A few years ago now I went in search of a place on the interweb to talk about fishing, seek info, maybe provide some info one day. Stumbled across PP straightaway and have never really needed more in terms of internet based fishing entertainment, so here I have stayed. Met some damn fine folks to boot. Thanks.

Thanks Doc...
Reading a few of those posts and recalling some significant and some forgotten past members jogged my memory like a forgotten snapshot found in a drawer... I think that was the point where my reading addiction here really gelled eventhough I joined many years earlier.
I frequent other boards occasionally or once a day and contribute nothing... This is where I hang my hat and look forward to watching the numerous personalities cycle through the wash of time. I have seen kids I know and don't mature, newbies turn dependable and consistent posters come and go. I have made some friends and appreciate a sense of belonging eventhough some (hopefully a few) might disagree.
It is amazing to see how it has changed since 07- some good and some not so but i am very glad Bob stuck with it.

I spend a lot of time on Ifish, mostly because I was born/raised in Oregon and still fish down there a lot. Ifish is a very active board with a nice culture but it is mostly an Oregon and SW Washington board.
For a Seattle area board, PP is the best and seems to be getting better. I've started posting more this year and intend to become a regular.
