Good reports from the lower Rogue. Tuesday; 50 fish caught at "The Rock" one boat had 9 that I know of...:-). Boat on the right had six and the left boat had 4. Fishing seems to be steady and sunny!

No restrictions, bait may be used. 2 fish per person, 20 per year.

TH
Am planning on making a trip to the Rogue on the 5th. Was wondering what works the best for catching them on the Rogue? How high are the fish now and what is a good day drift for catching them?
Thanks

Things slowed up tremendously this weekend... again.
There are fish scattered throughout the entire system. However, we just haven't seen the numbers that we have seen in the past years.
I would concentrate on the lower river. Find a slot and anchor up. Anchovies, and spinners.
Very few, if any, people fish the lower Rogue from a drift boat. If this is you plan, I would fish from Foster Bar down to Agness???? It's hard to say. Things just haven't got going this year.
I think we have had about 10 days total of really good fishing.
50 boats at Elephant Rock Saturday, 4 fish were caught. Same for Last Fri. and Thurs.
Good luck, let me know if there is anything I can do?

Planning to take several kids into Rainy Falls very soon. I would be greatful if you could let me know when a good time would be when we may have a good chance of getting into some springers. We camped two nights last year at this time and only saw two fish roll. Also interested in info about "Muriel", not sure of spelling. My wife would like me to take her camping there for the night. It would be nice if I could get lucky on the river and in the tent. Any good bank fishing there right now?

I would plan a trip in June. Our big hope right now is thatwe get a surge of fish in June. June also allows time for the lower fish to move up in the the entire system. If the Chinook aren't in, there should be a summer steelhead or two hanging around.
Murial is in Grants Pass I believe. (My spelling is wrong) I am not much help there.
Have fun, be careful.

Hey TH,
Was wondering how the Springer fishing on the Rogue is looking for this weekend. Trying to decide where we are going to go to catch some fish. If the fishing is any good, where would the best drift be tomorrow and how early should we plan on being there? If not the Rogue how about the North Umpqua?
Thanks a lot

Rogue is slow, a few fish are being caught a day. Drifting is tough on the lower Rogue. Foster Bar to Agness is probably best.

Thanks for the reply. We fought the crowds up here this weekend. We were at a hole before 4 this morning and we were the 5th boat! Guess we need to put cots in the boat!
