Here's a great video about fishing both a pink worm and a Colorado blade.
They really go into detail at the 9:45 mark of the episode. But these guys have a lot of great videos on their YouTube site. The host is a bit of a character (He reminds me a lot of the kid from The Sandlot). But they really are fun shows to watch.

I have also been thinking about float drifting a larger Dick Nite spoon just like you would a worm or a Colorado blade. I would imagine this being a decent change up for some people.

Man, these fishing toys! The options are truly endless!

Yeah, they really have a great respect for the animals when they are filming these shows. The "How to Fish" videos are great and the informational videos are interesting to watch as well.

Lots of ideas and information.

Instead of a float and on leader folded clevis, Colorado blade and beads. How about a float and on leader Mack's Lure Smile blade and beads? A Smile blade spins easier than a Colorado blade with very little current.

Float and Smile blade worm?

Just a thought, I think there is some field research to be done with some different riggings.

Sorry to harp on an old topic. But I thought I would share a video that I found a while ago. This guy uses little trout trolling spoons to drift with a float for steelhead. Seems like a great idea, so in keeping with the "Gear Whore" code of ethics, I went to Sportco and purchased a "few" of these spoons. I'm going to give them a try this summer for both steelhead and salmon. I'll keep everyone posted.

By the way, he goes into rigging details at about the 5:20 mark of the clip.

Going to have to remember this technique come Coho season and give it a shot. Thanks for posting everyone.
