A friend and I fished the west side of Possession Bar yesterday morning. Took one about 8 lbs early then went through a dry stage for about 2 hours then hit/released a couple that were questionable 22 inches. Then took one just under 10 lbs. Fished 5 inch plugs but still had shakers on almost every time we checked our gear. Fished 135 to 160 feet deep right on the bottom (150 to 200 feet of wire). Good Luck.

Thanks Breezer. I'm going out tomorrow for a Grady White derby but the winds look formidable. We'll see. Was there much bait? Thanks. Marc

Ended up catching two fish on Sunday with my buddy. One was 6.5lbs and the other 8.5lbs. They are not jumping into your boat, but if you put in the time, you will catch your one fish. Anyone else been out? Marc

I tried Double Bluff on Saturday without much luck. A lot of shakers. Saw Gary Krine land a few. Anyone else trying? Marc

well i would have to say that blackmouth fishing is hotter than i've seen in past years.we went on sat 13th and sun . limited both days with are biggest fish being about 12lbs. ihad 3 other friends that were out in there boats they also limited out on sat.we fished the west side of possession 125 feet of water. MARC it sounds like you like to fish as much as i do. do you have a cb handle you go by.i will be out there next weekend.

I am also planning on fishing Possession over the weekend. That area seemed to hold more bait than Double Bluff. I do not own a CB, but if you see a Grady White with a Yamaha 200 & 9.9 kicker, give me a wave. What are you fishing in, and I'll look for you. What set-up has been working for you? Green Hot Spot and Glow Green Coyote seemed to work two weeks ago. When I opened up my fish, they had BIG herring inside (hint). Marc
