Smart thought on the extra pully! I approve the other answers too. I'm always curious what people are doing and those seem like some good improvements. I've had to pull out the "cleat" on the Clacka foot release more than once to grind/sharpen it as it gets grooves from the rope and won't hold. It is fine (for now) but I'd really like to move to a Lee-Lock as I think it is a vastly superior design. I've also had issues with the thumb bolts that keep the seats from sliding. They screw into plastic so it is no surprise they strip through. I've now got 8 chunks of 2x4 holding my seats in their position. It looks very much like the ghetto version of your boat.

Yeah my seats stripped out also so I replaced the plastic pieces with tapped out aluminum pieces, works like a charm. Now we're talkin'. Do the aluminum pieces look like the stock plastic ones and, if so, do you happen to know where I could pick up a set of 4? I suppose any nut that is threaded correctly and will fit/slide into the track would technically work?

Ok everybody. I fully realize the uncanny ability of glass boats to slide over stuff easily. hence the reason I just slide mine down the hill at oxbow instead of trying to drive or back down that thing. however, if there's an easy way, I'll take it. There are certain put ins/takeouts where I'll back the roller of the trailer just underwater. This makes launching and loading effortless. If I so please, I'll back my sh!t into the water...JFC!!! Haha.

Might have to grind the thickness down a bit.

AP - send me a picture of what you need. I could probably build/tap them up for ya.

AP - send me a picture of what you need. I could probably build/tap them up for ya. Sorry, I should have offered to make them also. Still could, but you would have to send me specs too as I sold the boat back in Feb. so have nothing to go off of. Pretty sure the screws were 1/4-20 X 1"
