A few of my reels are in need of some serious de-gunking and I'm wondering what to clean them with and what to use to lube them with.Grease,oil,or what?Thanx FISH ON !!!!

I generally clean my reels with warm water and a little dish soap. As far as lubing, if it is the internal gears, I use Power Punch, because it doesn't get thicker in cold weather. For external areas, spray with dry graphite. You can buy this in an aerosol can at most auto parts stores, and its great because it lasts, and doesn't make a mess like grease.

warm water and soap clean up followed by a generous coating of tri-flow on all moving parts...works great.
